My first contact with the blockchain technology was in early 2012, where I got offered bitcoins as a "bonus"
for registering on a gaming website. I made a quick research and liked the idea, but was not interested enough
to concern myself with the topic of storing the offered bitcoins, so I skipped the offer.
(Yes, yes - I know...)
I picked up the topic bitcoin & blockchain again in late 2015, when I stumbled upon an online article.
Seeing that bitcoin is still very much alive and rose to the skies since my first contact, but still having a
relatively small userbase, I decided not to miss out again. I invested a sum I was willing to lose in bitcoins
and also bought hardware shares of a mining pool.
But my curiosity was far from satisfied, so I started informing myself about other blockchain projects.
Soon I also got into cryptocurrency trading. What started as a lucrative hobby captivated me more and more.
Since then I'm engaged in knowledge about different currencies/projects, the technology behind them,
their usecases, mining, Dapps, ICOs, trading strategies and development in general.
